the day after we got back from florida we got an early morning invite to the zoo. unpacking can wait. a free trip to the zoo with lots and lots of boys cannot . . .
g carefully analyzed his map several times throughout the day and politely asked me to "transform it" every time after he got through. seems he hasn't developed map "folding" skills yet . . .
jay and g were big buddies . . .
this was a funny moment. there was a "native" skink sunny himself on a rock at the koi pond. the boys, especially g, just oohed and aahed over it. i had to take a picture. he's still talking about it. sherri thought it was amusing that we came all the way to the zoo and were impressed by a skink. then a couple displays over i caught her taking a picture of a toad she found in the waterfall. ha.
can you believe i got this picture through the glass in a dark reptile house? i just love my 50mm lens.
and proof that i will photograph (and most likely scrap) anything . . . g's first visit to the men's restroom. and believe me . . . the ONLY reason i let him go was because we were there with SO many boys. we figured they'd scare the willies out of anyone else who might step inside.
nice zoo pics!

*Transform* it. Ha! Loved that. Sounds like something my five year old would say. :)

Love my 50 mm lens too. YOU got some really great shots. But I laughed out loud (yes I am at work too) at the men's restroom shot...my husband would be mortified if I did that.....hahahahha....maybe I shouold try that just to torture him. :)
