i've been hanging out online with laura since way back in our lil davis designs days (okay, the "way" part is a bit of an exaggeration). i don't know why it's taken us so long to do a challenge together. she pretty much rocks in both the style and friendship categories. and i love challenges. i find i'm so much more creative and scrap so much faster when i'm given a little direction before i get started.
so here's what we decided on: a fall color scheme with a unique twist (i was needing to get out of my pink/red, green/blue, with a touch of yellow rut for one layout at least), corrugated cardboard as a page element or as a stamp (always want to do this, but never get around to it), buttons (is a layout complete without at least one?), and ribbon (because i love it and haven't been using it much lately).
this was laura's take . . . love how she tied her signature string around the cardboard . . . super cool . . . the pink and blue mixed in with the greens and oranges . . . gorgeous . . . and it totally cracked me up that she flower dotted her "i" and slipped in a jewel tag . . . can't help saying it . . . great minds think alike!
and hey! stay tuned . . . we had so much fun with this challenge that i'm sure we're going to have to do it again real soon! :D
my supply list: stickers, flowers, chipboard - making memories, rubons, brad - american crafts, patterned paper - making memories, crate paper, buttons - autumn leaves, jewel tag - staples, metal-rimmed tag - somewhere on etsy by way of a jenni bowlin studio kit, ribbon - sorry, but i don't remember, corrugated cardboard - trash. :D
