i know i have professed my love of tortilla soup here several times. and i have also bragged here about perfecting the art of tortilla soup making. one key ingredient is fresh cilantro. yes fresh is so much better. but they sell too much in the bundle at kroger so i always ended up throwing a big pile of it away every time i bought it. i just couldn't use it fast enough as tortilla soup is all i really use it in. maybe i need more cilantro loving recipes? anyone? bueller? anyhoo. until i get new cilantro recipes melissa g. has saved the day. freeze that excess cilantro in ice cubes she says. brilliant i says. only i use g's old popsicle maker. works like a charm. cilantro salvation.
here is my last batch of yumminess. doesn't the corn look all hip and happening in chunks like that? i don't know how i achieved this corn nirvana. well, actually i do. i forgot to buy fresh corn and fresh is better you know. luckily i happened to have a couple already boiled cobs in the fridge from dinner two nights prior. i cut the kernels off those and threw them in the pot. the little guys stayed clumped together like this instead of separating and doing their own thing. coolness. anybody understand the science behind this phenomenon? i like it i do. might want to repeat the look.

ack, you blogging fool! now i have so much to catch up on :-) Hmm, i do recall thinking i needed to write down your tortilla soup recipe, but of course i never did. could you pretty please e-mail it to me?

The oil pressure generated by doing so may not be sending oil to every part of your engine.
