myrtle beach is . . . FUN!

wow did we have a good time.  my conference was great.  and even better, we had lots of free time.  our hotel complex had a wonderful kiddie water park.  g LOVED it!  slide slide SLIDE!  his favorite new word of the week.  and my favorite word of the week . . . crab.  can we say all you can eat seafood buffet?  and the next night we got more from a fish market.  YUM!  other big fun . . . a kiddie amusement park with . . . you guessed it . . . a carousel!  another of g's favorites.  shopping for mommy.  an old navy outlet and a few souvenirs.

now i know some of you are wondering if i'm sad to be back.  nope.  i get to wear jeans to work tomorrow.  yay!  i get to go to the crop friday and friday starts our fall break!  two whole weeks of freedom.  super yay!  and who could ever be sad with a cute little guy like g to hold?  :D

justified purchases . . .

so i always feel like a scrapping purchase is justified if i actually get around to using it.  i finally talked myself into buying those way cool hero arts flower stamp sets last week . . . and i actually used them this weekend.  along with the new rob&bob i might add.  and the new heidi swapp book has been used twice now!  woohoo!

ok.  i'm sleepy.  and g's already in bed.  and we're heading to myrtle beach wednesday.  yep.  that's right.  you all know me well.  i haven't packed the first thing yet.  so . . . i should head to bed now so i can be a whirlwind of activity tomorrow.

tuesday tips . . . it's been a while . . .

* if you get the chance, check out heidi swapp's new book, love your handwriting.  it has some really neat ideas for improving and/or altering your handwriting.  some really fun stuff in there.  :D

*angles love curves . . . heard this expression in the pub.  forget who coined the phrase originally, but i like it.  i'm an all angles gal, but i've been adding curves to my los lately, esp in the form of circles.  yes.  i'm beginning to love my circles punches.  :D

*heck!  i love punches in general.  there are several way useful ones out there.  besides the abovementioned circle punch.  there's the way hot way cool corner punch.  (both used in the lo to the right).  let's not forget the small, medium, and large corner rounders (did you know they came in three sizes?  i didn't, but i do now) and the three new jumbo flower punches i brought home last week.  who knows.  i might even break down and buy a square and rectangle punch or two one of these days.  been wanting those forever . . . :D

happy labor day! . . .

the family all just left.  :(  g's really going to miss them.  this was the first time he really bonded with them.  he had so much fun with all the attention.  he's quite the social butterfly these days.  good news is we have a two week break in october, so we'll be able to go to florida to visit and celebrate his birthday.  that's just a month away.  :D

today we're hoping to go visiting.  just waiting for a decent hour to make some calls; see who's available.  g needs a friend to play with so i can finish my scrapping.  i'm almost done with august's to do list.  but eeeek!  it's september.  got this lss dt lo done yesterday.  had to use the bazzill buttons.  now i just have one more lss dt lo, a stampin' up lo for a friend, and a clown lo that i've been wanting to finish forever.
