happy holidays . . .

we're off for sunny florida . . . going to spend christmas and the new year with family.  my sister from texas & family (including the neice's new fiance) and my nephew from norway, his wife and inlaws will all be there . . .

already put in my christmas dinner order.  turkey, mashed pototoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, apple pie . . . and hoping my sister comes through with the honey baked ham for new years . . .

planning on making a snowman with a little florida snow while we're there . . .

it's been almost a week again!  oops!

i got the most fabulous ribbon in the mail today from *Paula*.  thanks!  :D

i finally found my mail key!  whew!  i know the mailwoman is happy with me.  :D

chichi got her stitches out and is doing great.  :D

some new heidi swapp stuff came in at Scrap It!  Can we say retail therapy?  :D

i got Keisha's blog added to my list finally.  she's sooooooooo inspiring to me.  :D

i got this photoswap layout done for lisa.  And here's a way cute Christmas card she made for me.  hope i find the oomph to get some sent . . . and many thanks to billy and melissa who came over saturday and helped me get the way cute picture of g to put on the Christmas card.  :D

i got this layout finished monday.

ahhh monday.  so nice to not have to get up and go to school on a monday.  we're on christmas break till january 3rd.  that's two more lazy mondays ahead.  :D

scrapbook trends asked for two layouts monday.  yep.  monday was a very good day.  :D

hmmm.  guess that's it for now . . .

oh.  we're heading to florida friday.  hope i get another blog entry in before then.  we'll be gone over a week . . .

ok.  so the grinch has been trying to steal our christmas!  no kidding!  i was almost to the point of demanding a redo on december!  :{

finally took g back to the dr last monday and got some antibiotics this time.  had to get a 4pm appointment since it was a tutoring day.  then didn't get home till after 6pm because there were so many other poor sick people at walgreens.  went to bed at 8 that night.  just worn out.  :P

tuesday started out fine.  but when we got home from school, we found poor chichi, our kitty, had been hit by a car.  her poor little back leg was broken.  rushed her to the vet and found out they'd have to amputate it.  poor poor chichi.  :(

i did get to go to jenni bowlin's class tuesday night though and we made this delightful project.  the three empty sections are for photos and the fourth has a little accordian fold album in it.  good stuff!

**************************ok.  newsflash over.*****************************************

so about 8:45 g's dad called and said g'd just woke up vomiting.  i rushed home and he was vomiting violently.  and wailing.  my poor little boo.  our first major upset stomach episode.  it went on that way for 3 hours.  and then even when he fell asleep he still kept waking up wimpering all night.  good thing it was a short lived bug.  he seemed back to normal the next day.  just a little sleepy.  and yes.  we missed school again.  :P

thursday was more or less uneventful.  just catch up from being out yet again.  and depression because my house was a wreck because i hadn't been able to find the time or oomph to get anything done.

but can you believe that i woke up with the big D friday!  no way!  took me 3 doses of pepto to get it under control.  and of course i had to go to work.  can't call in just because i'm sick.  no fair!  :P

ahhhhhhhhhhhh.  but that week's over.  i had great fun at scrap it!'s open house saturday.  and g had great fun with the babysitter.  and sunday we finally got the tree decorated.  it had stood naked for a week.  the house is almost under control.  and we get out of school for christmas break friday.  yes.  life is good in our little world.  :D

ramblings . . .

ok.  so we actually made it to work today . . . soooooooooooooo hard.  good news is, only 9 working days till christmas vacation.  wheeeeeeeeeeeee!  :D

and we didn't get home tonight till after 6:00.  had to tutor after school, then took g to see dr. wells.  he was doing much better today, but mother's intuition . . . sigh.  dr. wells said we had to dust of the nebulizer.  g was indeed wheezing.  got some zithromax and albuterol.  fun.   took over an hour to get the prescriptions filled.  lots of poor sickies in the world right now.  guess we'll blame it on the bone chilling weather.  :P

so.  we got our tree last night.  it's up in the stand ready to be decorated.  looks like it's going to stay naked a while longer.  the mood hasn't struck me yet.  so dreading the light thing.  me and g went to bed at 8:00 last night.  and tonight was such a late night w the pharmacy, then bathing the new dinosaurs, then g's treatment while watching "lil poopoos" (little people).  tomorrow night it's not likely to happen either.  i'm taking jenni bowlin's christmas class.  woohoo!  maybe wednesday . . .

oh.  and g's of course developed the requisite bad habits with this illness.  "new toy" is his biggest.  he usually gets a toy from the cheapo junk aisle whenever we go to walmart.  now he thinks he needs a new toy every day.  any time we get in the car in fact.  sigh.  this too shall pass.  not today though.  with the hour long stay at walgreens this evening, i caved yet again.  g came home with a new miniature dinosaur and crocodile from the king kong collection.  should i be worried about his current obsession with violent animals?

we had a good weekend though, even though g was feeling a bit under the weather.  jonathon came over saturday to play with g and melissa came over to scrap with me.  major good fun!  news release . . . melissa FINALLY updated her blog after over 3 months!  her new lo's posted there.  and i got two los done.  here are mine . . .

ok.  so actually, the second was done last weekend.  the other from this weekend just isn't scanned yet.  oh well.  who cares really.  i'm very happy with these two layouts.  design's never been my forte, but i'm very pleased with the designs on these two.  i think they really support the stories of the layouts well.

ok.  lil poopoos just went off.  guess that's my cue to move on . . .
