lots of change going on around here . . .

so last night i was getting g out of the tub . . . just love holding mr squishy in his hooded towel . . . he's not quite so squishy anymore . . . getting a bit skinny . . . and his little towels aren't going to fit much longer . . . he's getting so big . . . but i guess that's a good thing . . . anyway . . . as i was lifting him up and hugging him tight, i asked, "are you my sweet thing?" and he told me,  "i AM sweet thing!"  here he is saying it again for my camera.  can't believe he actually posed for me.  course right after this shot he dissolved into uncontrollable laughter.  those are cute pics too . . . :D

just amazes me how much he knows these days.  makes me happy too.  monday when i picked him up from school, got him buckled in his carseat, kissed his little forhead and said, "i love you baby" he responded, "i love you mommy".  first time for those words too.  gave me a mommy high for the rest of the day.  :D

got both my february class samples done and posted at scrap it!  i thought they looked very interesting side by side.  check this out . . .

see what i mean?  that first one i did back in october.  the second one this month.  guess g's not the only one who's been experiencing some changes . . . :D

trying to get my hof entry finished.  the deadline is feb 9th, which means i better get it done by next weekend.  actually hoping to be finished and in the mail friday but monday would be ok too.  got 5 finished, 2 almost finished, and another started.  hoping to get #9 started today too.  and a photoshoot tomorrow with cindy.  thanks cindy!  that'll make 10.  and all the assembly still to do.  whew.  lots of work this week.  but SO ready to be done.  i'm looking forward to being back in circulation.  feel like i've been neglecting my friends this month . . . so . . . back to work!  :D

it's ok little buddy.  it snowed in florida when mommy was in kindergarten and she didn't like touching the stuff either.  :D

and to all my poor poor local friends who are ever so "slightly" bummed about the no school situation . . . BWAHAHAHA!  ok.  sorry.  that was uncalled for.  :D

so . . . what are we doing today?  hmmm . . . we snuggled on the couch and watched playhouse disney for a bit.  then g played trains while i pretended to work on hof #3 that is STILL not done.  then we went out to play in the snow before it all melted.

now g's watching blue's clues and i'm blogging.  carrie and crew are on the way over with some kind of decadent bagel from panera.  and another coke.  the one i got from mcd's was WRONG.  i think they slipped me diet by mistake.  :P

i really am going to get back to work on my hof entry today.  really.  maybe at naptime . . . :D

here's another "snow" picture.  hee.  i know all my buddies up north are totally laughing that we got out of school for this . . . and here's the ONE layout i got done last weekend.  a non-hofer.  but hey!  we have to celebrate JACK!   let's see . . . nine days old today (if my math skills are working right).  welcome jack!  :D

would you just look at that smile!  and he's practically in focus!  and looking RIGHT AT ME (or my camera i should say).  i'm SO stinking happy!  this is the second "triple crown" photo g has given me this month!  whew!  what a relief . . . i had a 6 month photo drought going on w my son and was beginning to wonder if my camera would ever see "mr. sunshine" again.  and better yet.  he actually ASKED me to take it.  yep.  said, "i take photo" then posed and said "cheese".  i know, i know.  i'll get tired of the cheesey photos at some point.  but for now, life is good!

so.  the little guy's been sick.  AGAIN.  you wouldn't guess it from this photo though.  antibiotics baby.  got the good stuff yesterday.  see, we've been out of school since wednesday.  poor little guy's been way droopy with the congested lungs again.  we went to the doc wednesday.  got the "it's viral" treatment.  ho hum.  won't let that stop me.  went back to the doc on thursday.  g's regular doc wasn't in, so we saw another.  had a 4:10 appt.  didn't get seen till 5:10.  that poor doc was whipped.  his snoopy tie was dragging.  i was getting anything i wanted.  i could see it in his eyes.  we came home with zithromax.  woohoo!  g woke up happy and raring to go!  yay for modern medicine and diligent mommies!  :D

oh.  and i got the much talked about, much coveted target tins.  LOVE them.  finally found the time to get them filled today.  happiness . . . :D

going to the crop tonight.  gotta get busy packing.  6:00 will be here soon.  gotta get back on track with my hof entry.  2/9 will be here soon . . . :P

oh.  and i got a may st toot today.  fun stuff!  :D

but i DID take g to feed the ducks today.  didn't want to be voted world's worst mom for not taking him out on such a fabulous winter day.  65 and sunny.  can you believe it?  well if you live here you can.  :D

we made  a target run this morning.  lisa had informed me that the coveted toy bin shelf was on sale.  here's ours all put together and fully loaded!  yay!  i got a couple blisters putting it together though.  seems there's a reason that the little man in the instructional diagram was holding a power tool.  :D

went to the grocery today too.  g was needing some fresh fruits and vegetables.  and yes you read that right!  i did say VEGETABLES!  g's eating CARROTS now!  YAY!  won't dr wells be proud!  guess g was feeling deprived of fresh produce . . . he couldn't wait . . . he inhaled grapes on the way home . . . and just threw down TWO bananas!  :D

and i finished hof #2 today!  just eight more to go . . . :D

so.  i was flipping through an old album searching for pics i needed for a hof layout and came across this one.  wow.  look at that hair.  i can remember violently teasing it, coating it with hairspray, then frying it with the hairdryer to get it up there.  whew.  must be two inches high.  hee.  things have sure changed.  now i seem to prefer the skinthead ponytail look.  :D

hmmm.  i've changed in lots more ways since this pic was taken.  deep thoughts.  i'll save those for the lo.  :D

i did manage to finish my first hof lo today.  woohoo!  that's one down, nine to go.  and the deadline is . . . :D

we're back!  well, we've been back since sunday night, but i've had some major catching up to do.  i got another flat tire 40 miles from my destination.  this time on the return trip.  i'm beginning to think i'm cursed.  so, monday was spent getting the car back in shape and packing up the christmas decorations.  tuesday we had to head back to school.  can we say NOT READY!  tuesday night i just kept unpacking and unpacking and unpacking.  then wednesday when we got home from school i had to find places for all g's new toys that seem to have taken over around here.  no easy task, let me tell you.  i think i'm finally almost caught up.  i have a few more bills to get in the mail.  gotta use up those last few 37 cent stamps.  need to get the laundry started and pick up a few groceries.  but really, i think i'm almost caught up.  i MIGHT get to scrap tonight.  yay!  hope i remember how.  it's been almost two weeks.  i've got lots of great new pics to inspire me though.  we were, after all, in sunny FLORIDA.  and man was the weather wonderful.  here's one more picture, just to make you a bit jealous.  obviously we didn't have any snow, but we had a white christmas anyway . . . :D
