surfer dude . . .

i probably should have stopped with two beach layouts . . . i really didn't have anything else to say . . . but i just loved my little guy in all these pictures . . . and amber's new a2z line was in and screaming for me to use it . . . such happy paper . . . so i sit down to crop saturday night and "i hope you dance" is playing on the radio . . . i just couldn't help myself . . . it became title number 3 . . . maybe i should have gone with "little surfer dude" instead since i hope you dance seems to be the most overused title in scrapping history . . . oh well . . . so it's not original . . . hope you enjoy it anyway . . . :D

the mojo was with me yesterday . . . i finished TWO layouts at the crop and got a third started . . . can't remember the last time i actually got two layouts finished . . . yay . . . :D

today hasn't been quite as productive . . . been piddling around picking up the house . . . not feeling too well . . . last night i thought it was just the extreme overindulgence at the crop and riding in the back of the car on the way home that had me feeling off . . . it's still lingering today though so i guess it's germs . . . feeling much better after some tortilla soup, sunny d, and a nap w g . . . :D

better get the house finished . . . gotta go back to work tomorrow . . . spring break's over . . . boo . . . let's see though . . . just two weeks till easter weekend . . . :D

a fun day at the beach . . . playing with cousin troy all day every day . . . a big dirtpile in the front yard . . . helping papa with the cookout . . . a birthday cake shared with both my sisters . . . grandma's homemade biscuits . . . no flat tires or speeding tickets . . . my first request for a layout from creating keepsakes . . . good stuff . . . :D

only the weekend left before we have to go back to school . . . bummer . . . but i get to go to the all day crop tomorrow . . . wheee!!! . . . good thing too since i've got so much new stuff i need to play with . . . and maybe i'll have some new layouts to post . . . in the meantime, here's one that didn't get posted while i was having power cord issues . . . it happens to be from our trip to florida during christmas vacations . . . another fun trip . . . well, except for the flat tire . . . but anyway . . . i'm rambling . . . hope your weekend is fabulous . . . :D

four days in paradise . . .

north florida is really beautiful this time of year . . . the azalea, dogwood, and wisteria were all in full bloom . . .  warm, sunny, windy days . . . kicking up the waves and making it fun for little boys to dance along the surf's edge . . . a great trip . . . more later . . . the little guy is asleep and i must confess that sounds like a wonderful idea . . . we are home safe . . . :D

spring break travels . . .

heading to florida in the morning . . . haven't packed yet . . . but i did get the car serviced . . . and have the last of the dirty clothes in the wash . . . the house is in decent shape . . . just gotta pack . . . not really in the mood . . . maybe i'll wait till morning . . .

not looking forward to the drive, but we'll have fun there . . . my sister from texas is coming too . . . so the three girls in the family can have our march birthday party together . . . and g is SO looking forward to seeing gamma and papa . . . and playing on the beach . . . :D

spring break hasn't been as productive as i thought it would be . . . but i did get this layout done . . . and i'm quite pleased with it . . . look . . . the background is not neutral . . . :D

spring break: day four . . .

jonathon came over to play with g while i scrapped today . . . i made an ugly layout that will not be seen in public and i'm sure  i'll be tearing apart later . . . i vacuumed the floor twice but you really can't tell . . . day four of our spring break is almost at an end and i haven't organized a single thing . . . hof calls didn't start today . . . i was feeling quite annoyed and stressed . .

then i read gabby's blog and her honesty made me look at my day with new eyes . . .

i spent the whole day with this sweet child . . . we laughed together and napped together . . . he got lots of  extra hugs and "i love you's"  . . .

i spent time with many friends  . . . chatting online . . . on the phone . . . at my lss . . . encouraging and supporting each other . . .

so i must say . . . even though things i wanted to happen didn't . . . my life is still oh so good . . .

and to one very special friend . . . happiest of birthdays . . . i wish for you a wonderful marriage, healthy children, and SUCCESS . . . i am honored to call you my friend . . . and so thankful YOU are a part of my life . . . :D

spring break: day three . . .

our grand adventures of the last two days . . . ducks and target . . . mommy went in search of new t-shirts at target last night and was minorly miffed that they didn't have the cool summer colors out yet so ended up with a grey one and a white one . . . blah . . . after that we went to feed the ducks . . . the ducks weren't very hungry though . . . seems they had been well fed already . . . no big deal . . . my guy would rather throw rocks than bread anyway . . .

today we went back to both places . . . this time with carrie and blake . . . after mommy's workout at the ymca . . . yes i went . . . we swung by target for a hotdog lunch and to pick up more bread for the ducks . . . then back to the lake . . . the ducks weren't hungry this morning either . . . but the boys sure did have fun . . . and blake would rather throw rocks too . . .

so we went over to carrie's yesterday . . . the first super sunny saturday we've had . . . she left me "in charge" while she and her dh worked on cleaning out the garage . . . probably not her best idea ever . . . i have trouble resisting "good clean fun" . . . yep . . . her oldest got out the water hose and started squirting the two little ones . . . i started laughing . . . mudd happened . . . :D

not sure what today holds yet . . . g's still napping . . . have two messages on the cell phone . . . gotta check those when he gets up . . . see what today's adventure might be . . . hope your sunday is fabulous . . . :D

spring break: day one . . .

i love warm weather . . . have the windows open today . . . love the fresh air blowing through . . . ok . . . so it warps the layouts on my scrap table . . . oh well . . . g thoroughly enjoyed his first water play of the year . . . he loves to splash all his animals out on the balcony . . . and he has quite a collection . . .

while he was occupied i worked on my computer . . . thanks jann and tiffany for the excellent advice . . . i uninstalled adobe acrobats 4.0 and 7.0 . . . ran spybot search and destroy . . . and then reinstalled 7.0 . . . there is more work to be done, but that's all i can tolerate for now . . .

i did not do all computer dirty work on my own . . . gluestickgirl held my cyberhand . . . and seems there's more than one superhero in the family . . . many thanks to matthew for loaning his technoskills . . . and just so you know . . . i am not a dummy . . . i just refuse to use that portion of my brain at this time . . .

oh . . . and the gluestick has found my much coveted 7g's pp online . . . is there anything that girl can't do . . .

we're about to call carrie now . . . no more work for doris today . . . hope she's up . . . it IS after 10 now . . . it's time to play . . . i only got one layout done at the crop last night . . . so it goes these days . . . hoping to scrap at carrie's this afternoon . . . and maybe snag some cute pics of the boys playing outside if it doesn't rain . . .
