meanderings . . .

nothing major to report . . . two days left of school till fall break . . . then two weeks of major laziness . . . wheeeeeeeee!  :D

was talking to my mom and dad yesterday . . . g's bday's coming soon . . . can't believe my baby's almost 3 . . . anyway . . . gamma always makes cut up cakes for the grandkids' bdays . . . we decided this year g's going to get an oc(t)apus . . . fun . . . and papa's getting him a fishing pole ready . . . g's way into fishing these days . . . he'll be thrilled to actually go fishing for real . . . :D

got another new student today . . . just flew in from china last week . . . not much english but he has an electronic translator . . . so one of my "cool" ethiopian students, wanting to be friendly, takes the translator and types in, "___ is a pimp" . . . total LOL . . . then explain to ___  that i know he was trying to tell the new kid he was one cool dude, but in actuality he just told him he was a man with a stable full of prostitutes at his disposal . . . bwahahaha . . . my job is a bit funny at times . . . :D

September IS a great month!  :D

i have a way exciting secret that i hope to be able to share monday . . . :D

ST sent me two emails today!  yay!  they gave me no love last month so i'm glad they love me once more . . . one of the layouts features carrie's youngest . . . a layout i loved so much i've sent it out numerous times . . . so glad it's finally finding a home . . . :D

tomorrow's choir practice night . . . excited about going . . . this will be three in a row . . . that will make it a habit . . . a good habit . . . :D

dude.  and you locals.  did you hear the weather report?  down to 48 tonight and a high of only 69 tomorrow.  can we say gorgeous?  fall!  yippee!  :D

got my mini-album class samples done.  i am so very happy with them.  6x6 pages are so fun.  they just scream cuteness.  :D

now i just have to get my second october class sample and sandra's july kit done and i'll be officially caught up!  what a great feeling!  :D

so.  looks like we had lots of fun, doesn't it?  not so much.  g was in a crabby mood.  bummer.  the inflateable slide was the only thing he really liked and throwing his chubbalub up the ladder each time was quite a workout for mommy.  when we got home he ate 2 eggs and lots of grapes, carrots, and popcorn then took a 3 hour nap.  guess he was tired and hungry.  but really i'm starting to wonder if he's a little hermit crab like his papa.  g hasn't seemed to enjoy gladefest any of the three years we've gone.  so maybe he just has crowd anxiety like his papa.  or could just be bad gladefest luck i guess.  :P

so then he spent the rest of the afternoon/evening with his papi.  (that would be g's dad, not to be confused w papa who is my dad).  so i spent the afternoon/evening at scrap it.  fun times.  got all three of my dt los done in one day.  miraculous!  :D

also managed to get one of my october class samples done . . . really happy with it . . . the file opens so more pics can go inside . . . (and for those of you who don't really do halloween, we have other options for the spider and jackolantern) . . . i hope to get the other layout done this week and post it here too . . . planning on making that one fallish . . . stay tuned!  :D

are always the mostest fun!  can you believe i got such a great picture of my kid?  LOVE this one!  this was on the last leg of our little excursion . . . which started at the park next door . . . serious fun times . . . g's napping now . . . renee and page wore him out . . . me and jack were the peanut gallery . . . just watching their antics . . . i got a hysterical shot too . . . way hysterical . . . definite blackmail material for when they hit their teen years . . . that one's not postable though . . . you'll just have to ask about it when you see us next . . . :D

the weekend's been good . . . melissa came over yesterday . . . i got two of my poppy ink layouts done . . . yay . . . you'll have to wait till the first of october for those though . . . hoping to finish the other two today . . . :D

had a couple old navy runs . . . some of you will be impressed next time you see me and i'm in cargo pants instead of the standard overalls or work khakis . . . decided to branch out . . . :D

september report . . .

yep.  good month so far . . . monday was a relaxing day with the little guy . . . tuesday was jb party day . . . and she so loves it when we call her jb . . . hee . . . wednesday i actually made it to church . . . choir practice started . . . yay . . . i got to wear overalls to work today . . . always a good thing . . . and somewhere in the midst of all that i got two goodie boxes from st . . . beautiful buttons from B . . . some serious chipboard love at scrap it! . . . and drumroll please . . .

BHG Scrapbooks Etc. called ME for a layout!!!  YAYYYYYYYYY!!!  doing the happy dance . . . :D :D :D

i have a good feeling about september . . . the new esl teacher started friday . . . so my workload should be lightening a bit now . . . some new neighbors moved in this afternoon . . . they seem really nice and have a little boy g's age . . . there's a wonderful cool breeze out tonight . . . the first little hint of fall . . . my very first poppy ink design team box was delivered today . . . giddy with excitement there . . . i got a layout finished with delightful new heidi grace goodies . . . available at scrap it! . . . beware . . . once you see them you won't be able to resist them . . . oooh . . . and it's a three day weekend . . . which makes for a four day work week next week . . . yep . . . september's going to be one fabulous month if the first few days are any indication . . . so happy september everyone!  :D
