happy thanksgiving!

my sis flew in thursday afternoon and we headed over to renee's for some turkey and fun . . . ha!  any wonder why we call her cool renee . . . bwahahaha . . . don't answer that . . . anyhoo . . . got some FABulous pics of g and page . . . going to have SO much fun scrapping these . . . among others . . . and they're SO going to get me when they're teenagers . . . :D

and let me just say how proud i am . . . proud that i kept my sister so busy for once that she did NOT have time to finish a book . . . yea you read that right . . . took her to long hunter state park and to visit my other sis who was in alabama for thanksgiving, enjoyed the neighborhood japanese steakhouse, did the zoo again this year, and hit not one but two targets in search of a BIG toy for g . . . good times . . . glad she got to come . . . :D

counting my blessings . . .

got one of my dt layouts done for scrap it!  love that place . . . definitely a blessing in my life.  :D

a 5 day weekend . . . major woohoo!!!  and then only 3.5 (super busy) weeks till christmas vacation . . . :D

a brand new 12 pack of coke in the fridge.  :D  :D  :D

my house is clean . . . seriously . . . those of you who know and love me would be shocked and amazed if you walked in right now . . . :D

g was in a WAY good mood today and let me stay home and get all the cleaning done . . . so what if he refused to use the potty for me . . . he's still barely three . . . :D

more playing with my december poppy ink kit tonight . . . such an honor to work with them . . . such a delight to get my box of goodies each month . . . such a blast to see everyone's work go up on the first . . . :D

my sis will be here tomorrow!  yippeee!!!  got lots of fun planned . . . :D

thanksgiving dinner at renee's tomorrow night . . . turkey, mashed taters, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie, apple pie . . . mmmmmmm mmm good!  :D

my first actual adult evening in a looooooong time thanks to sherri . . . check her blog for the details . . . so much fun . . . :D

starting to feel more at home at church . . . g loves having mrs chelle as his sunday school teacher and thinks the suckers after wednesday night class are fabulous . . . i'm enjoying singing in the choir on wednesday and the worship on sundays . . . just what i need . . . :D

a call from jann en route to dallas just to tell me she's now hooked on sudoko . . . hee . . . :D

my gcrew buddies . . . always there to make my days a little brighter . . . :D

melissa and billy getting a new house . . . so very happy for them . . . and happy birthday x 2 too!  :D

holiday festivities starting . . . christmas party at church . . . cookie exchange at amber's . . . love that the calendar's starting to fill up . . . :D

gosh . . . i could go on and on . . . life IS good, isn't it?  :D

i scrapped . . .

WHEW!!!  it had been TWO WEEKS since i finished a layout . . . i was starting to think my mojo had gone on a permanent vacation . . . got a little jumpstart from jenni bowlin . . . the first one's from her september kit and the second is from her october kit . . . thanks jenni!  :D

i got a few done last week and thought i'd post them here . . . this one is my favorite . . . love all the patterns going on here . . . and it has another of those fabulous pictures of me and g that sherri took . . . gonna have to get her to take some more soon as my stash of me and g photos is running low . . . anyway . . . this one is for my class on tuesday . . . we're going to have fun making that scalloped border . . . and i should mention that i swiped that little key from jann and now i'm not sure i'm going to be able to find any locally or in time since the class IS tuesday, so jenni had a few little metal flowers that i think are going to be perfect there instead . . . looking forward to seeing those of you that are coming this week . . . :D
