the pool is open!!!

and we spent FOUR hours in it today!!!  i have a slightly lobsterish spot on my back where the sunscreen didn't reach and the gman is a brown little nut.  yep.  one serious tan line on that kid.  we were needing a relaxing day, let me tell you.  the gman was SO sick last week.  i had to miss four days of work.  oy.  and then had to take him in with me on friday because he wasn't ready to go to school yet and i needed to help one of my seniors with finals.  man.  talk about whipped.  but all's well now as you can see by the sunshine smile here.

and what's a doris post lately without some kit club love . . . amber and i got to go hang with jeannette and superstar this week . . . and brought a little scrap-in-style kellicrowe delight home with us . . . i found it pretty much irresistible . . . already made this cutie layout with the itsy gman and took these packed for the pool pics today cause i have another little layout idea in mind . . . stay tuned for that one . . . :D

i told you so!  kits rock!  i'm in the kit club groove!  this layout practically threw itself together . . . barely an hour from start to finish . . . that's super speedy for me!  Everything here is from Scrap it!  thanks for making my scrappy life easier Anniekins!  :D

and speaking of easier . . . i breathed a big . . . no huge . . . sigh of relief monday when i finally left central office at 4:30 . . . the evil standardized testing boxes were out of my hands . . . whew!  now just 11 days of mostly fluff left and then . . . drum roll please . . . SUMMER VACATION!!!  YES!!!  WOOHOO!!!  PARTY ON!!!!!!!  can you tell i'm getting a little excited . . . :D

kit club love . . .

love love LOVE me some kits . . . they make my scrappy life SO much easier . . . have kit will travel . . . that's what i say . . . they're all i take to crops any more . . . so convenient . . . i'm packed in 10 minutes tops . . . and all i need is a shoulder bag . . . no kidding!  i just throw in a couple kits, a few pics, my basic tools and i'm off!  today i was thinking i should just start keeping one in the car for those times when we're out visiting friends and the kids are playing together so nicely . . . :D

when i get my kits, i keep them together till i've made two or three layouts then i'll break it up and disperse the leftovers into my scrappy stash . . . :D

this layout's another (also made the two from my previous post from scrap it! kits)  i've made from my newest kit club . . . Scrap it! . . . loved annie's selections this month . . . the mme orange one was SO me . . . total happiness . . . and the urban lilly one really pushed me creatively . . . not to mention i'd been wanting some of those mm brads and the rob and bob felt trim is THE coolest . . . can't wait to hear what she has in store for next month . . . :D

the next two are from some of jenni's kits this month . . . i'm having so much fun playing with her new exclusive product this month . . . and the anna griffin . . . aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh . . . want me some more anna griffin . . . noticed in june ck that they have 7 new lines this summer . . . WANT . . . hmmm . . . that might be a good idea for annie's june kits (hint hint) . . . but i digress . . . :D

happy nsd!!!

soooooooo . . . national soccer day got cancelled due to heavy showers throughout the mid-state but national scrapbooking day is alive and well!  and a happy day it is . . . i was invited to be a featured scrapper over at 2ps . . . check it out here . . . lots of really great layouts and a new garden all created especially for the occasion!  :D

we had a little pre-holiday festivity last night and i managed to get two los done . . . good times . . . both are from scrap it!  kits that i managed to snag a few days early . . . total happiness . . . (locals!  you should definitely ask annie about pick up day . . . NO SHIPPING!  and we need  a crop too!  let's all start bugging her about that, shall we?).  :D

OH!  NEWSFLASH!  for all my local peeps whom i have missed . . . i haven't managed to combat the lazies long enough to get a class sample done yet, BUT i've decided to offer scrappy tutorials in my home on thursday evenings . . . just bring a few pics, your tool kit and adhesives (gluedots are a must! i love to embellish . . . ) . . . i'll supply the rest of the materials and teach you some of my tricks and you'll leave with delightful layouts of your very own . . . $12 per layout . . . shoot me an email if you're interested in swinging by . . . :D

my blog has fallen by the wayside again!  oy!  how does that happen?  :P

let's see . . . testing testing testing . . . been doing WAY too much of that these days.  won't bore you with the oh so boring details.  :P

today's turning out just fine . . . got some new hambly.  have nsd (that's national scrapbook day, NOT national soccer day.  ha!) plans.  heading to a chinese buffett w carrie . . . sans kids . . . aaaaaaaahhhhhh . . . my ebaying broke $200 this afternoon and is still inching up there . . . fun times i tell ya . . . :D

i'm sure i have a lo or two or seven to share . . . but i'm in a fog as to what they are and where they are . . . but here's a few cutie pics of the gman on our major excursion to the front yard yesterday.  totally happy mud puddle in the grass there after a good rain.  can you believe he gave me such a fabulous shot?  thank you gman.  you've made your mommy SO happy . . . :D
