ripples . . .

dana and i were over at annie's last night having a nice cozy girlie evening . . . guess i was the most productive since i actually got this layout done . . . dana spent the whole evening making mudd with annie supervising . . . we were mostly chatting about how much fun scrap it! crops used to be . . . and how many wonderful, lasting friendships formed at that place . . . mr bill came in then and made one of his profound mr bill kinda statements . . . just that there were so many lives affected in a positive way by the scrap it! community . . . and that we'd never know just how many . . . i have to agree wholeheartedly, being one of those lives that was greatly touched by the scrap it! experience . . . :D

thought i'd go ahead and share . . . we're planning a scrap it! reunion crop and classes . . . hope you all can come . . . it'll be so nice to see everyone again . . . stayed tuned . . . details coming soon . . . :D

"  it's kinda ironic he sings the childhood classic that way . . . he finds rain anything but boring . . . we had a most excellent late afternoon shower today . . . he had some great good fun in it . . . and rewarded me for letting him play in it with this stellar photo . . . thanks buddy . . . :D

and i shall get this stellar photo developed tomorrow at my new favorite developer . . . a great little local joint that sherri's been telling me about for a while . . . cmquick . . . valerie, the owner, is just delightful . . . she feeds my ego about my photos and takes extra good care of them . . . i'm a developing snob . . . so this gem of a find has made me very happy . . . :D

having a bit of a slow wk compared to last wk . . . check out michelle's blog to see all the fun we had . . . the not so fun stuff . . . my car got a new catalytic converter (OUCH!) . . . and i made the yearly visit to the dr . . . who informed me i have a minor iron deficiency and has given me big red pills to take . . . mmmm . . . i shall now blame my general feeling of malaise on my medical condition instead of calling it the summer lazies . . . why haven't i been blogging?  i've got a minor iron deficiency!  yes . . . that's a much more acceptable excuse for doing nothing nothing nothing all day every day, right?  :D

feeling like mommy of the year today . . . ok, so we did nothing nothing nothing all morning . . . except for the bath . . . rambling here . . . g told his first official lie this am . . . i asked him if he'd had a bath last night (while his dad was watching him) . . . he thought for a moment and told me, "yes" . . . he's not been into baths lately . . . well, so i called his dad to ask him . . . dad said, "no" . . . i'm sure there should have been discipline involved, but i laughed . . . but wait, i was talking about the mommy of the year thing . . . yep . . . we had a great afternoon . . . he got to play outside with alfonso while i tutored olga . . . then we did a couple errands . . . then he got to play at chick-fil-a for a couple hours . . . then we came home and rode scooters outside . . . then the fun in the rain thing . . . and then dinner . . . eggs, string cheese, grapes, carrots, nachos . . . love it when i feed him right . . . and i had the last of the tortilla soup . . . mmmmmmmmmmm . . . :D

ok . . . so have i wandered long enough to make up for the blog slacking?  anyone still here?  lol, or have you just skipped down to the pictures . . . gotta be more pictures . . . think i'll close with a few wedding los . . . having sooooooooo much fun scrapping the neice's wedding pics . . . i'm planning on making her two albums . . . a classic elegant one (for the inlaws) and a funky fun one (for the friends) . . . so these first two are for the classic one . . . done with scrap it!'s oh so elegant tinkering ink kit from this month . . . and the last is for the funky one . . . done with last month's sis kit . . . so proud i finally came up with an idea for the pleather . . . :D

hello! i'm back!

got back from north carolina last night.  i just love north carolina.  truly god's country.  i lived there for 6ish years.  just gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.  and such wonderful people.  aaaaah the memories.  anyway.  i was there this time for my neice's wedding.  my sis rented a little cabin in the woods.  g played in the lake and we splashed by waterfalls.  we hiked about 3 hrs around chimney rock, me in flipflops and carrying a worn out 3.5 yr old the last hr of it.  the wedding was beautiful.  the bride was glowing.  so nice to be around family for a few days.  here are a few random pics from the trip and wedding, a couple quickie layouts i got done just before leaving, and a dorky self-portrait of my new haircut.  enjoy!  :D

a little more me . . .

the kits have been fun . . . the kits have been great . . . but i gotta say . . . it's been nice to do a little scrapping at home . . . and play with all MY favorite things . . . been getting a few new toys lately . . . and i really just want to roll in it it's so pretty . . . aaaaaaaaaah . . . got these layouts done . . . happy happy summer vacation . . . :D
