attempt to post my layouts "tomorrow" . . . they should have been up since monday . . . i uploaded four layouts . . . and made a really long entry about them . . . but the blogging gods were against me . . . they let the blog monster eat my entry just as i hit the save button . . . and i was just too tired from the first day back to school and the first day back to the gym to do anything more than be thoroughly disgusted . . . and now it's friday and i'm making a second attempt at posting this week . . . but hey! it is still this week . . . and in relative time that's practically "tomorrow" . . . so without any further ramblings . . . (but a little more frequent save hitting) . . . here we go . . .

so. these are ALL from the jenni bowlin october kit . . . if you didn't get it . . . you need to . . . AND the addon . . . don't forget the addon . . . the doodling template in it is my new favorite toy . . . so much fun . . . and how awesome is this kit? i got a baby lo, a beach lo, a pumpkin lo, and a wedding lo all from the same fabulous package . . . that's what i call diversity!
the first one is of my two favorite photos from my neice's wedding . . . i've tried to scrap these two pics several times and it just wouldn't come together . . . this time i hit the jackpot . . . a perfect match . . . i'm so happy with the results . . . the layout says exactly what i wanted it to . . . i took a que from jenni and trimmed out the cabbage rose pp and mounted it on the chocolate cs . . . a little metalic pearl paint on the letters and a couple rhinestone studded lovebirds and there you have it . . . a little more simple than usual for me, but i can stop when i know i've captured the moment . . . (hitting save) . . .
the second layout practically screams doris . . . when i saw the dotted pp and the white cs i had an irresistible urge to do something a bit whimsical and dug through my photo stash till i found these fun pumpkin pics . . . the circle and doodled border on the right are from the template i mentioned earlier . . . love that thing . . . i've never been a circle girl, but i think i've finally been converted . . . added a few buttons for added interest . . . so fun . . . so happy . . . (saving) . . .
the third layout was actually the first one i did from the kit . . . i wanted to do a baby layout . . . so i dug a little farther back in the stash and found these pics . . . i love the warm feel of the pp as the background to this one . . . love how the unexpected pops of color pull you in and through the layout . . . love those baby cheeks most of all . . .
and the last . . . shallow of me . . . but i wanted to use that darn flower . . . i made several false starts with pictures till i landed this beach one . . . you might not immediately think flowers with a couple boys . . . but work with me here . . . think tropical paradise flower . . . think chocolate flowers are masculine . . . all the warm golds and browns really play into the theme of this layout . . . and that flower actually works perfectly to draw your eye to my dark little guy and reinforce the depth of his tan . . .
and if you're still with me, then please join me in a rousing chorus of happy birthday . . . the gman is four today!!! LOVE HIM SO . . .
happy birthday to you! happy birthday to you! happy birthday dear gabriel! happy birthday to you! :D
