happy martin luther king jr day . . .

i wasn't really intending to say anything profound here today . . . i'm just quite giddy over the 3 day wknd . . . but then i thought of why i have this wknd . . . and i have to tell you . . . i tear up a little every time i read that great man's "i have a dream" speech . . . i can't help but be amazed at how different life was here in these united states just 50 yrs ago . . . when i sit in my classes with kids from ethiopia, puerto rico, jordan, china, vietnam, brazil, mexico, korea, india, russia, korea, and el salvador . . . i am thankful . . . thankful for them and thankful that we can live and work together here in such harmony.

ok.  back to fun and fluffy.  i have a couple ki los to share.  i just love thier blog.  it keeps me hopping.  the first is for their friday challenge . . . scrap a vacation photo . . . and the second is just for fun and ki IS fun.  :D

if anyone sees him, please let him know that his services are required over this way . . . so yea . . . the post holiday funk hit here pretty hard . . . i've been getting a lot of nothing done lately . . . but you probably figured that was the case with my lack of blogging and all . . . i seem to have found a little oomph today though . . . time to get my butt in gear . . . !!!  :D
