hoping for a scrappy weekend . . .

i haven't been getting much done lately.  that usually happens when i've got too much to do.  i just don't do any of it.  oops.  i plan to change that tonight.  headed to logan's for dinner then off to sherri's to scrap scrap scrap!  we're doing dinner at 4:30 so we won't be too fat and tired to scrap afterwards.  that's kinda what happened last weekend.  anybody care to bet on how late we'll both be though?  punctuality's not our strong suit.  and ummm . . . it's already 4:16 and here i sit typing.  oops.  did i already say that?

anyhoo.  this is a layout i did for kelly purkey's monthly sketch at twopeasinabucket.  i rarely do sketches, but i love how this one turned out.  you can see my friend holly's gorgeous version over there too.  it's a three-fer. 

ok.  gotta jet!  hope to have more scrappy shares tomorrow!

am i coming or am i going?

  i just don't know!  WAY the heck too busy lately.  think i might have a couple days of breathing room soon.  maybe.  i did manage to get this layout done sunday.  just this one.  hoping the upcoming weekend is more productive.  especially since i was in jb's garage a couple hours ago and peeked in some new shipments.  this month's kit makes me go EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! 

another thing that makes me super happy amidst this busy season . . . my sis pretty much rocks.  she sent g  SIX new dvds and they arrived on a day that i didn't know how in the world i was gonna get it all done.  somehow i managed, mostly thanks to the awesome new dvds:  jurassic park (the trilogy), godzilla (g calls it badzilla), and prehistoric park (a 6 episode series by the makers of walking with dinosars).  g's watching "badzilla" now . . . and i'd better get back to work!

(fyi . . . all new american crafts yummies on the layout.  mostly from the baby and craft fair lines.

first off: there's a new blog!  the design team will be loading it with lots of inspiration and there will be contests! 

the february gallery is loaded and i have to say, it's my most favorite ever.  jenni's new line is so awesome to work with and the design team has outdone themselves.

a new photo editing class just started.  it's a great place to learn how to make your photos that much better.

a new art journaling class is getting ready to start.  it's a great place to learn some super creative techniques.

and a new digital class will be starting soon.  i should really take this one.  then i could make my own banners.  sorry.  inside joke.  haha.

my class is going strong.  keeping me super busy.  i guess you can tell.

the general forum's really hopping!  we're approaching 1000 members.  sign on and check it out.  there's a contest going on now to guess when that 1000th member will sign on.  you could win a prize from australia!

product pizzazz 101 started today!  we're having great fun!  there's still plenty of time to enroll!  come check us out!  look!  the gman is even getting in on the action!  i talked him into being my model for a mini-tutorial i was working on today . . . glitter masking.  doesn't he have great technique?

the layout is all from the new American Crafts teen line.  VERY girly, so i'm proud i managed a boy layout with it.  personal challenges are so much fun.

i still haven't gotten my challenge layout done.  busy busy me.  but i did pick out a photo today and have a general idea of the design and title.  planning on finishing it tomorrow so i can debute it during my live chat at 9pm EST (that's 8pm CST for the locals).  i hope some of you can make it.  we'll be talking about my upcoming class (VERY upcoming, like next monday upcoming), a little about my creative process, and whatever else you'd like to discuss.  if you think you'd like to stop by, be sure and sign up early HERE so you won't miss anything.

city slickers . . .

 

so sunday we finally got to go visit marvin's farm and see the baby goats and all his other critters.  this little guy was only one day old.  renee and page and jack came with us . . .

 

this is jack right after he fed the cow from his hand and then wiped the cow slobber on his mommy's pants.  more on the cows later . . .

 

many thanks to cool renee for driving and for bringing the swell cowboy hats and for the Mt. Juliet Dairy Queen cheesestick snack on the way home.  mmmmmm cheesesticks . . .

 

there was quite a menagerie there.  g and page got a serious workout chasing the little pigs.  poor little pigs . . .

 

i don't know what they thought they'd do with one if they actually caught it.  where's jack, you ask?  he was off throwing rocks . . .

 

the bigger beasts really captured his attention though.  this was right before he tore off after the ponies.  those ponies sure were fast . . .

 

the cows were much slower and much more tolerant of children.  especially this one.  she was a very gentle old girl.  page gave her several sweet pats . . .

 

while the boys were more interested in the other end.  tata heaven.  i'm sure all the locals are howling with laughter about now . . .

 

things pretty much went downhill after that.  kids.  mud hole.  you get the idea . . .

 

yep.  that's my boy.
