another little peek at april jbs mercantile.  i fought long and hard with this one yesterday, but i finally gained control.  whew.  at least these days it is every 6th or 7th project that gives me fits.  it used to be every 3rd or 4th.  practice i guess.  tonight was an easy night.  i cranked out a wall hanging, a micro mini, and a layout all in one evening.  peeks on those tomorrow maybe?  the big reveal is thursday at midnight.  i've got a lot of photo editing and gallery loading ahead.  still haven't had time to tackle the florida pics, but here are a couple that i did for the projects i've been working on.  i know the family enjoys seeing them.  :)

i'm back!

 
i'm back!  back from spring break in florida and back from a scrapbooking drought.  can someone please explain to me why my mojo, muse, and moxie all wait to show up till the day before we have to go back to school?  prior to this little layout hot off the press, it had been three weeks since i was productive.  three weeks!  ouch!  never fear!  i'm back with a vengeance!  maybe because the april jbs mercantile kits are WAY inspiring!  off to edit some spring break pics.  planning on getting some of those posted and scrapped this week.  the big april reveal is thursday at midnight!  woot!

do you notice anything fabulous here?!  besides the fact that spring slipped in unnoticed by me while i was frantically running around trying to make it through my overload week and shivering through two more cold fronts.  did you see it yet?!  i am so happy!  my 50mm replacement lens showed up yesterday!!!  hooray!!!!!!!  i have missed it so.  what a relief to get clear photos once 
more.  and just in time too as we have a boy scout hike this afternoon.

also just in time to snap a pic of my one new layout for gallery updates.  there's something new in everyone's gallery this month, so if you're in search of inspiration there it is!  :)

february kicked my butt.  i did manage to score 50 calvinball points, but didn't have time to talk smack and really, what's the point of calvinball without smacktalk?  i coughed and peed all month long and actually said, "what the hey" and went to the free school clinic.  the do graciously gave me a scrip for amox which gave me a 10 day gastrointestinal disturbance.  wheee.  my art journaling lasted 10 days.  fooey.  but 10 pages is better than the phantom pages of january, right?  better get on the stick if i want to beat my february record in march though.  march seems to be kicking my butt too, but i can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  namely spring break in florida in about 5 more days.

 
i managed to get 5 more layouts done for february gallery updates.  i am quite proud of the pipes i drew on this one.  i copied them from some pipes in one of g's richard scarry books.  i just loved richard scarry as a child and still love him as an adult. 

 
now one would think that since i had one layout done at the beginning of the month that i would now have six layouts in my february gallery.  i just checked though and found out i totally forgot to post one.  gah.  so here it is.  wheee.  and incidentally, i finally ordered a new lens tonight, so my next batch of images should be much better.  so tired of the blur.

 
i did some dabbling in textiles with leftover fabric bits that the gluestick sent me.  love how this turned out.  you can see my tutorial HERE.

 
i managed one layout and this little flower for the march gallery reveal.  i have another layout done and an in progress one that i hope to get finished by tomorrow afternoon.  need to bustamove on that!

 
i also finally managed to remember to take a pic of my one little cha layout.

 
and i finally got around to adding rubons to this little drawer so i could photograph it for flea market friday last week.

 
here is another one i did with the february kit after updates.  i actually have yet another one done with it, but i think i haven't photographed it yet.  i'm still living from minute to minute around here.  slove down!  you're moving too fast!  anyhoo.  this brings me to a grand total of eight with february.  not too shabby.  i also used this for my crop challenge.  all the challenges are still open till this coming sunday.  you should definitely check them out!  and i should definitely get busy!  hope to not be so long between posts now!  thanks to everyone for checking in on me.  :)
